Opening Doors – Because She Belongs Here
For many young women, a place at The Women's College is more than accommodation while studying at university. It is a place to belong, build confidence, discover leadership potential and form lifelong connections.
This End-of-Financial-Year, The Women's College invites our community to support the 2026 Giving Appeal: Opening Doors – Because She Belongs Here.
At the heart of this year's appeal is second-year engineering student Lily Thomas, whose College experience was made possible through the generosity of donors who believed in her potential.
"Moving away from home and living at Women's College felt like a huge opportunity – but financially, I didn't know if it would be possible," Lily said.
Through bursary support, Lily was able to access the opportunities that define the Women's experience – a supportive community, academic encouragement, leadership development and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Today, almost one in three residents at The Women's College relies on a bursary or scholarship to access the life-changing opportunities College provides.
Each year, philanthropic support helps talented young women overcome financial barriers and fully participate in College life. For many students, a bursary or scholarship is the difference between attending College and missing out on the experience altogether.
By supporting this year's appeal, donors can help ensure more young women have the opportunity to thrive academically, develop as leaders and become active members of a community where women support women.
Make a gift today and help ensure she belongs here. Together, we can open doors for the next generation of Women's students.
